The Republic of Turkey is a Eurasion country; with the Turkish Straits separating Europe and Asia. It falls under the formal category of sort-of-europe, so I believe it should be included. Also because I like this picture. I am just being honest.
Turkey is a a democratic, constitutional republic with a diverse cultural heritage; although it has become increasingly invested in the West as evidenced by membership in the Council of Europe and NATO; and began full membership negotiations with the European Union in 2005.

Tallinn, the capital of Estonia. The Republic of Estonia lies within the Baltic region of  Europe, bordered to the north by the Gulf of Finland. The Estonians are a Finnic people; and their official language, Estonian, is closely related to Finnish.
The Singing Revolution is a commonly used name for the events of 1987-1991 which culminated in the independence of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania from the USSR.  One of the landmark demonstrations of this time was a human chain of more than TWO MILLION PEOPLE stretching throughout all three countries. There’s a very poignant documentary called “The Singing Revolution” about this time period and it is well worth watching. (Prinz Willi on flickr)
